We have been working on getting a story together. Once again, we have turned to the Bible to find a story to recreate. I work hard to communicate to my students, each year, that we do not have to make a “Christian” movie, per sey. We can certainly look towards having a solid story on our own, that will reflect principles that will cause others to consider where do solid principles come from. However, I am finding that with only a few students (and only two, at that) coming up with a story is very difficult. I am thinking of changing the order of things a bit next year, and incorporating more story creation earlier in the year.
That being said, the girls wanted to do a story based on the story of the judge Deborah. We have not been successful in this endeavor, despite a fair amount of work going into it. They recently asked me if we could change over to the parable of the two sons-one who obeyed, and one who did not. It is going to be a bit of a crunch, time wise, to get this done, but I think we can do it. It is a simpler story, and should go well.
More later!
